Chassis, generator, and everything driving
Motorhome chassis repair, generator service and repair, and motorhome electrical and alignment work. Alignment matters more on a heavy rig than on a car: a motorhome that is out of specification wanders in crosswinds and destroys expensive tires long before their tread life is up.
Dash A/C, stated plainly
We service dash A/C, the automotive air conditioning that cools the cab while you drive. Roof-mounted RV air conditioners that run off shore power or the generator are appliances rather than automotive systems, and we do not work on those. Saying so up front saves you a wasted trip.
Generators fail from sitting, not from hours
Onboard generators break down far more often from disuse than from use. Fuel goes stale, carburetor passages gum up, and batteries sulfate while a rig sits for a season. Running the generator under load on a schedule prevents most of it, and when one will not start after a long sit, that is a repair we handle.

Motorhome & Generator Repair: questions we get asked
Do you work on roof-mounted RV air conditioners?
No. We service the dash A/C system, the automotive air conditioning that cools the cab. Roof-mounted units are RV appliances, and an RV appliance specialist is the right call for those.
What motorhome chassis do you service?
All makes and models. Bring the year, chassis, and length when you call so we can schedule the right bay, since space and lift capacity are usually what decide whether a shop can take a rig at all.
Can you align a motorhome?
Yes. Motorhome alignment is part of what we do, and it pays for itself in tire life on a heavy vehicle. Call ahead so we can allocate the bay.
My onboard generator will not start after sitting all season. Can you fix it?
That is the most common generator complaint we see, and yes. Long storage leaves stale fuel, gummed carburetor passages, and a discharged or sulfated battery. We diagnose which of those it is rather than replacing parts in sequence.
How often should I run my generator?
Manufacturers generally recommend exercising a generator regularly under load rather than letting it sit idle for months, and your generator manual gives the specific interval. Running it briefly with no load does not accomplish the same thing. Regular exercise is far cheaper than a carburetor.
Do I need an appointment to bring a motorhome in?
Call (760) 343-3535 first. Bay space for a large rig has to be scheduled, and neither of us wants you driving a motorhome across town to find the bay occupied.
Can you smog a gasoline motorhome?
Usually yes. We are a licensed STAR test and repair smog station, and our bay takes vehicles most stations cannot fit, which is the usual reason a motorhome gets turned away. What California requires still depends on the year and the specifics of the rig, so call (760) 343-3535 with those details and we will confirm before you make the trip.
